A Simple Seasonal Shift for the Living Room

The light already changed. The table can follow.

Late summer light is high and hard. September light is lower and longer. A citrine tree that felt bright in July can stay. What usually needs to move is the extra object next to it: the white coral bowl, the too-many spheres, the thing that still says beach.

Quartz points, raw stone and mixed leaves on a low oak coffee table

One surface

Coffee table or the shelf you see from the sofa. Not every room in one weekend.

Keep the piece that still looks like the house: a tree, a tower, a sphere. Add one seasonal mark: dry leaves, a raw stone, a darker bowl, a heavier throw under the tray.

Remove one thing that belongs to high summer. That is the whole shift.

What to bring in

Raw stone and clear quartz points—see the Jiugong still lifes.

A darker sphere or obsidian if the table is all pale.

A small branch in a vase instead of another mineral.

What to put away

Salt lamps you never light. Extra tumbled bowls. Anything you have been walking around.

Ten minutes, not a renovation

Clear the table. Wipe it. Place one crystal, one natural object, one empty third. Sit on the sofa and check from there. If it looks like a shop, remove a piece.

The full walk-the-home version lives on The Home Field. This post is only the room you sit in after work.

Care in drier air

Heat comes on. Dust rises. Brush clusters. Do not park stones against a vent. Full care notes in the care post.
