Crystals for a Reading Corner

If you cannot set the book down, the corner has failed.

The table next to a reading chair collects the same pile as a nightstand: charger, lip balm, last week’s mail. A crystal earns a place only if the book still has a landing.

What belongs

A small amethyst or clear cluster on a dish, back from the cup.

A sphere on a stand if the table has a lip.

A short tower only if you will not knock it reaching for the lamp.

One. A plant can share the corner. A second mineral usually cannot.

Light

Side window is the point of this room. Pale quartz looks alive here. Overhead cans flatten it. Keep the piece out of the exact strip of afternoon sun that hits the upholstery.

The two-minute version

Phone face down. Fingertip on the stone. Open the book. That is enough. Alignment’s triangle and Reset’s nine breaths can wait for a desk day.

Care

Tea air is steam air. Wipe the dish. Do not park the cluster against the mug. See the care post.
